Look what people are saying about Tout de Suite Cafe
Best sandwich and egg place in Algiers
Diner Review•Dec 01, 2009 They are open 7am-7pm, 7 days a week. Live music on sat and sun. original, authentic, laid back funky NOLA vibe. Looks like it could be in Uptown, Carrollton, Midcity or Marigny. Two blocks from the ferry. The Cuban sandwich was good with an original twist. It was thick, with spicy creole mustard instead of yellow (and lots of it), high quality carita pork and ham, panini style. $9 (in 09) w/ a large side of potato salad (though it was yellow and eggy for my taste). Menu described the potato salad incorrectly and the chalk board wrongly listed cole slaw side as an option. Coffee was very good. Service fast. Menu of egg dishes and sandwiches included lots of creative items with great names, without being cutesy. Tons of good, cheap local art for sale on walls. I love this place. dec. 2009.

Great community spot
Diner Review•Sep 28, 2011 My wife and I just stayed in Algiers Point for a few days and Tout de Suite was a very nice, regular spot for us. Very busy (especially Sunday morning), great food, friendly staff and patrons. One of the mornings we went a gentleman was singing alternately playing his mandolin, banjo and guitar. You can tell this is a favorite community spot.

Best damn breakfast ever!
Diner Review•Jun 29, 2011 This place is a total gem. I was in NOLA for a conference, and happened to be staying in Algiers. The Plaquemines breakfast is the best I have EVER had and the Atchafayla comes in a close second. The people are extremely nice and the place is very warm and inviting. I told everyone at my conference about it. Told them to get on that ferry and eat at Tout! I WISH Columbus, Ohio had a place like this.

Fantastic breakfast spot
Diner Review•Feb 26, 2011 I had the Huevos Rancheros-Fab-U-lous. I went there for the wifi. I was delighted to find there was live music to accompany breakfast. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The crowd was very diverse, anybody will enjoy breakfast there. The menu had something to please everybody. I highly recommend the place and will definitely return.

Simply lovely
Diner Review•Aug 25, 2011 My wife and I moved to this neighborhood 5 years ago. We have lived in some big cities and would have given our eye teeth to have a little cafe like this in our neighborhood. Even if some of our "spoiled" neighbors take this place for we granted, we truely know what a rare find it is. The owner is there 7 days a week (that's not sometimes) and cooks every meal that comes out of the kitchen while still finding time to stop and say hello to her guests. Why in the world would anyone complain about that? The manager who stays busy (I disagree with the frantic description) all the time is sweet and has a rare work ethic. They put out more fresh product than most big cafes and it always amazes us how much this little place can produce. I think it's unreasonable to expect a small neighborhood place to keep extra staff on for a rush of business that may or may not come. This is not a chain with deep pockets. It is what it is... a nice, home-feeling, quaint neighborhood cafe with quality food and plenty of charm. And if you want more milk in your iced coffee, all you got to do is ask for it.

The only place in New Orleans to have breakfast!
Diner Review•Jan 27, 2011 We live in Algiers Point and look forward to our peaceful morning breakfast at Tout de Suite. Live music makes for a perfect Saturday or Sunday morning and the pancakes are to die for! The owner and her staff are attentive and happy to be there which in turn makes us happy! A great kid's corner with books and colors keeps the little ones happy. Very accommodating for large groups. We have lived here for several years and the food gets better and better! vegan/vegetarian options too!

Excellent!
Diner Review•Apr 12, 2011 * This is what you hope to find when you venture outside the tourist areas of a city. We came over on the free ferry (charming) and happened upon this delightful little gem. The owner spent lots of time with us and made us feel quite at home. Our breakfast was delicious and the menu was well stocked with many local foods (crawfish cakes and poached eggs) as well as fresh organic fruits and ligher fare which we were happy to have after all the rich stuff we'd been eating. The coffee, to our delight, was fair trade, organic and fresh roasted. Nice and strong the way we like it, too. Wish that nice lady would come and open one of these for us back home. We will definitly be back!
